SAP Business One has a master data or document duplication feature. This applies to all users. But how can certain users not be given access to duplicate master data or documents? Can this be done?
Certainly can!
SAP Business One allows you to grant authorization to duplicate documents and records only to certain users.
To set up duplicate authorization for users, follow these steps:
1. On the SAP Business One main menu, select the Module menu? Administrators? System Initialization? Authorizations ? General Authorizations
2. After the 'Authorizations' menu appears, on the Users tab, select the user whose authorization will be set to duplicate master data or documents.
3. In the "Subject" column, select General? Duplicate Documents and Records.
4. Set the authorization to "Full Authorizations: for users who can duplicate master data or documents and set the authorization to "No Authorizations" for users who cannot duplicate master data or documents. In this example, the user has the authorization not to duplicating master data or documents.
5. Click the Update & OK button.
